I ♥ Sleeping in Paris

After celebrating birthdays and life in Paris during a long week-end last month, I thought it would be helpful for all of you to get some tips on where to sleep at affordable prices in the capital of love. As you are young, dynamic and open minded and you want to take advantage of all the possibilities and adventures Paris has to offer, find below the links and descriptions of a few nice hotels, they are classified from the least expensive to the most expensive.

ST GERMAIN DES PRES (75006)

As I always say and as I have repeated it in previous posts, I believe that this area of the city is the best, especially if you are in town for a short stay.

  • Hotel de Nesle:
I didnt try this one myself but a few family friends did and they gave me a very good feedback. Its great location and its very affordable prices, added to the quality of the service make of this address a perfect place to stay. If you are comming in Paris by train it is not far from the Gare de Lyon (Train Station) and is surrounded by transportation facilities (subway, bus…)
  • Hotel Saint Andre des Arts:
This hotel is located next to the famous and historic “pont saint andre des arts” also called the lovers’ bridge. If you have a higher budget, I believe you will enjoy staying there. Good advantage: free wifi!

Canal Saint Martin (75010)

  • B&B Des Faubourgs:
This area of Paris is developping itself pretty fast and the owner of this bed and breakfast has understood the convenience of it. It is very popular and young and hosts many cafes, restaurants and bars. The people there are quite hippie, chic, boheme. It is next to the Gare d’Austerlitz and also very easy to access with the transportation facilities. The owner is called Eric and has great art, design, food and music knowledge. The prices are quite affordable and the main advantage is that whenever you need advices for restaurants or about the events going on in the capital during your stay, Eric the fine connaisseur will be able and available to help you. Check their facebook page for more pictures and updates!!!!

Tips:
– Dont forget to make your reservations quite in advance if you want to get better rates.
– Many hotels in Paris or over estimated. For example, if they are very well located they will get a star. The star will not be considering the quality of the service or the staff’s professionalism. So before booking, check the trip advisors’ reviews or ask your friends.
